“You are led through your lifetime by the inner learning creature, the playful spiritual being that is your real self.
Don't turn away from possible futures before you're certain you don't have anything to learn from them.”

~ Richard Bach, Jonathan Livingston Seagull ~

New Year's Eve at Bluff Trail Labyrinth

Last night my friend Carl, Brian and I went out to dinner and then headed out to the Bluff Trail Labyrinth to celebrate New Year's Eve. Melanie, our hostess, guided us through three meditations, one of which was with 13 crystal skulls. Each meditation was unique and profound in their own way. I especially enjoyed the Crystal Skull meditation and connecting with these amazing and knowledgable creatures. I was downloaded with information and when the time is right for me to know what it is, it will come into my consciousness.

Just before midnight, the twenty of us gathered there, headed out single-file to walk the Labyrinth. It was amazing . . . Once in the center we stood in silence, reflecting on the year that was soon to be behind us and at the stroke of midnight, I threw in my good-bye to 2011 along with some letters I had written for releasing what I didn't want to bring into 2012. As I watched the letters burn in the fire, I was grateful to put those issues and concerns out to the universe to heal and take care of for me. I felt a physical release in my body as well.

With all the energy gathered in this amazing place, we were all delighted when the roar of thunder crossed the sky behind us. It was a fitting end to a wonderful evening.

May each and every one of you experience the energies of this New Year with anticipation, excitement and joy. It is destined to be your best year ever!

Happy New Year 2012!

My Reiki Room

I completed my Reiki Level II class on Saturday and am now a Certified Reiki Level II Practitioner! Yay! The class was very intensive and I learned so much including three of the Reiki symbols. We also did a lot of distance healing training incorporating the symbols. I am so excited about all that Reiki has to offer and thrilled to be able to put it out into the world to help wherever I can. I also hope to use Reiki on animals and am thinking about volunteering at an animal shelter or sanctuary. One step at a time . . .

I plan on practicing in my new in-home studio and have to say it's turning out very nicely. I infused Reiki energy into everything that went into this room - from painting the walls, to putting up doors and trim and moving in the furniture. It has a wonderful energy to it and I'm looking forward to sharing it with clients.

If you're interested in receiving a Reiki Distant Healing Session, please feel free to email me. Of course, if you're in the Madison area you're welcome to have a session in person! I've set up a PayPal button on my sidebar until I get a website up and running. If you'd like to learn more about Reiki visit my post here.

How a Reiki Distant Healing Session Works

Once I receive your payment, I will contact you via email or telephone (your choice). I will ask you your full name, we will set an intention for the session and I will ask you if there are any areas of concern or areas you would like to focus on. We will then schedule your appointment. At the scheduled time, it is best if you are in a place where you are safe and comfortable. The session will take anywhere from 45 minutes to one hour. When the session is complete, I will again contact you via email or telephone and we will discuss the session.

Sending you Reiki love and remember to Live in the Light!

Spell for World Peace

"We must concentrate not merely on the negative expulsion of war
but the positive affirmation of peace".

~ Martin Luther King, Jr. ~

I'm working my way through Llewellyn's Witches' Spell-A-Day Almanac for 2011. Today's message is about World Peace and doing what we can, as individuals, to spread the hope of peace throughout the world. Becoming a Reiki practitioner has really brought this concept home to me in that I can, as an individual, make a difference by sending out positive energy to where it's needed most. Won't you join me today in sending the light of peace to the hearts of all people?

You'll need a white candle and some dirt (it's frozen where I live so I used some black decorative stones). Fill a small dish with some dirt (or whatever you're using), carve a peace symbol into the candle and place it on top of the dirt.

Relax and focus on the energy of peace. With your hands cupped, place them near the candle and visualize a very bright white light coming down from above, entering the crown of your head, going down to your heart, through your arms, out your hands, and into the candle. Light the candle, close your eyes, and see this white light of peace spread to the hearts of all people. See all humans everywhere filled with love and existing harmoniously with one another. Believe that this is our future! Leave the candle burning for an hour or two (but never leave it unattended!).

I plan on burning the candle for an hour or two every day and visualizing that white light of peace spreading over the Earth and into every person's heart. Let your light shine!
