“You are led through your lifetime by the inner learning creature, the playful spiritual being that is your real self.
Don't turn away from possible futures before you're certain you don't have anything to learn from them.”

Sharing ~ Brenda Kay

While doing research and sometimes just stumbling around the internet, every so often I come across a website that intrigues and delights me. One such site belongs to an artist by the name of Brenda Kay. Brenda is a visionary and psychic artist and her work is extraordinary. But don't take my word for it . . . visit her website and see for yourself.

I was so smitten by her art and by her words that I wrote to Brenda asking her permission to post her work on my blog. To my delight she agreed. I'll be posting one of her pieces a week until I've posted all I can post of her work. You'll find them here every Wednesday (doesn't everyone need inspiration to get over the 'hump' of the week?). My heartfelt thanks to Brenda for allowing me the use of her extraordinary works.

TRUTH

Know Truth by the freedom and flow it brings to your state of being. Truth soars to Almighty heights, then swoops into grounded realization. Let Truth speak to you in quiet moments when your mind is free to soar and let it be reaized in who you are and in the heights to which you aspire. Take heed of these "Eureka" moments, recognize them as Truth and act exactly as you have been inspired. Dare to leap beyond your norm extending Light and Life beyond that which has been accepted but does not serve.

Once realized, Truth flows in never ending waves through the waters of the body. Listen closely to your words. Do they ring true with clear vibrations that ripple in accordance with the fact that your body and your life flow with ease? Or is your Truth denied in favour of lip service born out of fear? Perhaps words whirl repeatedly in your brain in justification of a fear based reality. Spoken or thought, these are the words that catch and clang and dam into stagnation in your heart, your health and your life.

Be true to yourself. Search you heart and mind for deluded reality and dishonest thought. Honour only that which is genuine for it will ripple your river with murmurings of Joy. Be faithful to your intent to stand firmly in Truth in this moment. Now flow forward, gliding with the tide of your life, no longer to struggle against it.

Be at Peace in Truth.

(All art and the words that follow it are the work of visionary artist
Brenda Kay and are used with her permission.)

Pagan Art Journaling ~ Week 1

Aradia says . . .

"What are your intentions for this project? What do you hope to get out of it? Is it about healing, creativity, community, or something else?

To start off this journey I thought it would be nice to think about what you want for yourself right now - what do you want to nurture and bring into your own lives at the moment. Find a word, quote or image that speaks to you right now and let it be your guiding light/idea/theme for this week, this month, this turn of the wheel, or this entire project."

For someone who basically flies by the seat of her pants on any given day, that's a lot to take in and think about which would explain why it's taken me the WHOLE week to try and come up with answers and then to put those answers into some kind of art project.

At first I was going to do some kind of mixed media, paper cutting, gluing, make it messy kind of project, but then something stirred inside of me and I was moved to draw . . . it just kind of flowed . . . asking your angels, guides, and spirits for help actually works!

I started by drawing the tree, which is a symbol of grounding and connecting to the Earth for me. And then I pictured myself as a butterfly; I've been in a continual state of growth this past year (which continues). Shedding old belief systems, connecting with new beliefs - I'm in a constant state of catharsis and renewal.

The bands of color represent my chakras which, with the help of Reiki, I've been cleansing and opening. The image of the triple Goddess represents my connection to her in all her aspects.

Above the triple Goddess are bands of gold that I sprinkled with glitter. This represents my connection to Spirit.

Note to self - felt tipped pens and water color pencils do not mix when water is added! My chakras are looking a little muddy so I'll have to do some extra work on them this evening!

Pagan Art Journaling and a Present to Myself

Aradia's Cauldron is sponsoring 52 weeks of Pagan journaling, which I'm very excited about. I'm pulling out an old journal I started years ago and dusting it off. I might even include it in my New Moon ritual to give it extra power and intention!

This is an excerpt from Aradia's blog:
"Starting in February, with Brighid's celebration of Imbolc, I'm starting 52 weeks of pagan art journaling project. So join me if you like as I post weekly prompts to get you thinking about what your path means to you, in words and art!"
Doesn't that sound like fun? Click here to whiz on over to Aradia's Cauldron to get more information. Why not sign up while you're there? It's going to be fun . . . and there's no pressure! Whew!

I also wanted to share this beautiful offering bowl I bought from Etsy. The designer is Diana De Baun . The picture just doesn't do it justice. The colors are amazing and it has an awesome energy. I can't wait to share it with the Goddess!

Have a fantastic weekend!

The Heart of Art

Tamara at 'The Heart of Art' is offering a free art class which begins on October 18th. She's doing this as a way to offer those who are unable to afford her other classes a way to enjoy her art and techniques. What I really like about Tamara and her art is that she includes the act of 'healing' into each art form. Isn't that awesome? Not only can you create beautiful art, but you can heal yourself through your art.

The other thing I like about Tamara is that she's empowering women to be the best that they can be and to think about themselves positively and as the beautiful women they were meant to be. Anyone who can do that is an amazing woman herself!

So, my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Tamara for offering this free art class. I'm looking forward to participating and sharing my pieces with you as I complete them. Visit Tamara and maybe even sign up yourself!
