In the beginning . . .
Welcome to my new blog where I will share with you my journey to a healthy, fit body and the spiritual awakening that is taking place within. I really believe that you can't change the outside without changing the inside. Over the last several months I've been dieting and exercising which is indeed changing the outside, but something that I hadn't expected is also taking place. My soul is searching for and crying out for a spiritual path that doesn't necessarily follow the norm.
I was raised in a home where my mother often took us to church based on the Luthern doctrines. I've visited and been part of the Baptist, Evangelical and Roman Catholic religions. While each one has it's merits, they've often left me empty and wanting. And while I believe in God and Jesus Christ, my view on organized religion has changed.
And so I'm about to embark on another path. One that is based in nature and one that I'm not entirely sure I understand, but am drawn to nonetheless. And so begins my journey to learn as much as I can in order to make an informed decision and hopefully to come out the other end a better person with a better understanding of herself and the world.
